Gujarat Law Society has been in the field of education for overa period of eight decades and is considered as one of the largestand most renowned destinations for education in Gujarat. TheSociety stands as a synonym for contemporary education in theregion with its state-of-the-art infrastructure. Visionaries andluminaries such as Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, Shri Ganesh Mavlankarand Sheth Shri Kasturbhai Lalbhai were the first to set loftystandards of excellence in education at the Society. Beginning froma single law college in 1927, which was nurtured, among others, byShri I.M. Nanavati, today Gujarat Law Society has burgeoned into amammoth Trust that manages 36 institutions offering courses inmultiple disciplines imparting quality education at four campusesin Ahmedabad. At present there are over 21,000 students at thecampus who are assisted in meticulously crafting their careers andleading them to the path of success. Gujarat Law Society has aparticularly extensive alumni group too which echoes the valuesthat it has imparted, right since its inception. Being a part ofsome of the most distinguished corporates across the globe, thesemembers of the Society's alumni have carved out a niche identityfor themselves, that of being responsible, pragmatic and proactive.What has not changed over these years is the steadfast resolve toalways 'aim higher' and the motto of 'Excellence in Education'.With this in view, the Gujarat Law Society (GLS) has now promotedand sponsored the "GLS University".
GLS University is a statutory state private universityestablished by an Act of Gujarat State Assembly. GLS University isset up with the vision to benchmark global standards of educationand create path breaking programmes in the areas of strategicimportance not only to the country but also across the world. Theuniversity is all set to initiate various innovative programmes indiverse areas of Management, Information Technology,Communications, Social Sciences, Commerce, etc. Besides theexisting programmes B.Com., M.Com., BBA, MBA, BCA, MCA and B.Ed.offered by the eight institutes under the umbrella of GLSUniversity, the University is geared up to introduce otherinnovative diploma, undergraduate and postgraduate programmes invarious upcoming disciplines. GLS (Smt. M. R. Parikh) Institute of Commerce, set up in theyear 2005 by the renowned formely known as Gujarat Law Society, isone of the leading morning Commerce colleges in Ahmedabad. Thecollege was inaugurated by the then Chief Minister of Gujarat StateShri Narednra Modi. OUR STRENGTH
• Procure the admission form from the office or login to onlineadmission portal.
• Submit the application form as prescribed.
• The candidate applying for the admission will be givenpreference according to the merit list declared on the basis ofstandard XII examination result.
• The set of merit lists for the General Category quota as wellas applicable Reserved Category quota will be displayed on thespecified date. The subsequent merit list will also be displayed asper the schedule of admission decided by the University.
• Eligible applicants will be granted admission according tohis/her rank in the relevant merit list and availability ofseats.
• GLS University reserves the right to make any exception in theabove rules without any notice. However, in case of any doubtregarding interpretation of any clause, the decision of theUniversity authorities will be final.
