Buying a rotisserie chicken and then using it to make a crock pot meal is genius. Well, at least I think it is, anyway.

Chicken salad is one of my favorite lunch recipes.

Or this Crock Pot Hot Chicken Sandwiches recipe is another family favorite.

Since I am all about saving money if you can buy whole fryers on sale then you should and then you can make your own crock pot rotisserie chicken for dinner.

For me, it is usually cheaper to buy a store-bought rotisserie chicken then it is to buy a whole chicken fryer so that is what I usually do.

Why do you need to cook for 5 hours on low if the chicken is precooked? Thank you for your time

    Reply

    • Arlene Mobley

If you are cooking on low it can take up to 5 hours to heat and thicken the sauce. You should always check every couple of hours to make sure the sauce does not burn. Different slow cookers heat at a different rate.
