Are you looking for an Amazon overstock store in Charlotte, NC? Vista Auction is better than you imagined, because you can shop from home! No digging through bins and fighting with crowds.

This local, family-owned company buys the items and then offers them in online auctions. The items are seemingly endless. (Warning: you might find yourself spending hours browsing the auctions!) You’ll find air fryers, car seats, 3D printers, coffee makers, and much more.

Items are either overstocks, new with damaged packaging, or returns. Make sure to read the description before bidding, so that you know which it is. Sales are final.

Every single auction starts at $1, with no reserve.

Items often end up going for way under retail prices. On average, customers save 75% on retail prices.

Vista Auction regularly shares the finds and final prices on Instagram and it’s a pretty addictive watch!

Vista Auction sells around 20,000 items every week. Auctions are usually posted at least a day in advance, and there are generally two or three auctions a day (with many items in each auction.) There are a lot of duplicates, so if you miss out on an item, keep looking. It may pop up again.

Items are overstocks from big retailers, or returns. Someone from Vista Auction inspects each item, and the condition is noted in the auction, so make sure to read carefully.

Two Locations

In early 2024, Vista Auction moved to 2500 Sardis Road North, Charlotte, North Carolina. The new location, combined with some process improvements, offers a much smoother experience when you pick up your items.

There’s a covered porch to keep you out of the rain, there are clear signs, and there’s plenty of parking. The average wait time for appointments is 5 minutes or less.

There’s even a small “Vista Store” at check-in, where people can look through a few bins and buy items for a discounted price right there.

The old location, at 11001 Carpet Street, Charlotte, North Carolina, is re-opening for some auctions, starting Saturday, May 4, 2024.

Each auction is labeled for pickup at the Sardis Road location (orange) or the Carpet Street location (blue) on Vista Auction. All of the items in that auction will be picked up at the specified location.

So, make sure to note which location the auction is at. When you make your pick-up appointment, make it at the correct location. And if you’re bidding in more than one auction, make sure that the auctions are for the same location if you’re planning to pick up the items at teh same time!

The Carpet Street location is in southwest Charlotte and the Sardis Road location is in East Charlotte.

The “won” prices do not include taxes or fees. There’s a $2 lot fee per item and 15% Buyers Premium. When you look at the auction item, the fee will be listed, so there will be no surprises.

Hints and Tips

  • For the best chance of winning, bid in the last minute of the auction ending.
  • You can “watch” an item without bidding on it.
  • If you want to make sure you don’t miss an item, and you know what your maximum amount is, using proxy bidding.
  • If you want to find a potentially great deal, sort an auction (especially one ending soon) by bids, from lowest to highest. You might find items that have been overlooked by other bidders!
